In the ever-evolving landscape of entrepreneurship, being a mompreneur comes with its unique set of challenges and triumphs. As we step into 2024, it's time for us to not just survive but thrive.

It doesn’t matter whether you're reading this before or after the new year. I’ve talked to and coached many women entrepreneurs, and often, we are so geared towards work, work work, we lose sight of where we’re heading.

So the best time plan for the year or months ahead is NOW. So let me share with you a few things that had helped my business and I grown leaps and bounds in the past few years.

How to BreakThrough In Life & Business in 2024

Get Clear About What You Want

To kick things off, let's talk about getting clear about what you want. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and the need to have all the answers right away.

But, for a moment, let's forget about the "how" and focus on gaining true clarity on what you actually want.

Think deeply about your goals and aspirations. What is it that you truly desire?

What wasn't working or didn't make you feel good in the past year that you want to let go of?

Creating space for new goals means letting go of the things that no longer serve you.

Remember, you don't need to have every step figured out before taking the first leap. It's about focusing on the solution, the outcome, and the things you want.

The Importance of Time Alignment

Now, let's delve into the importance of time alignment in breaking through in both business and life.

Being aware of time alignment allows you to make conscious choices about how you spend your time. It's not about being busy; it's about being purposeful. Aligning your time with your priorities is key to achieving your goals.

Take a moment to evaluate where you're spending your time and ensure it aligns with your objectives. This awareness will help you make the most of each moment and propel you forward.

Here's an exercise to help you align your daily tasks to what you want to achieve and you may even you earn 2 hours back in your day to spend it on whatever that makes your heart sings!

Discovering Your Purpose

At our recent CEO Day - I asked my member this question:

"Imagine you’ve passed on- what would you like to be remembered for?"

Here’s the thing - in business, we often chase the number - the tangible results. I'm guilty of that it.

While it's important to know your numbers and data, understanding your life purpose gives meaning to your actions and decisions. It serves as a guiding force in your entrepreneurial journey.

Remember though - let go of any preconceived notions about what living with purpose looks like. You don't have to have a BIG, LOFTY goal to live a life of purpose. You don't need to be saving the world. If you do, it's cool. But if all you wanted is to live a quiet life, knowing that you've given your best to yourself and family, that's fine too.

Your purpose doesn't have to be set in stone either. Embrace the idea that your purpose can evolve and adapt. It can be WAY bigger than you can ever imagine. Don't limit yourself.

Whenever I ask people about their life purpose or Big scary hairy goals - I often hear a lot of self-limitation. Excuses why it’s not for them or why they can’t have to.

Some of the excuses include:

  •    Fear of Failure:
    •  Excuse: "I might fail, so it's better not to try at all."
    •  Truth: The fear of failure can paralyse individuals, preventing them from taking risks and pursuing their goals. And often, fear comes up as a rational, convincing voice in our head telling us not to pursue our goals. (Listen to the podcast on what I do to calm my fears.)
  •    Not Enough Resources:
    •  Excuse: "I don't have the money/resources to start."
    •  Truth: While resources are essential, many successful endeavours started with limited resources. It's about resourcefulness and creativity.
  •    External Blame:
    •  Excuse: "If only my kids are older, I could succeed."
    •  Truth: Blaming external circumstances shifts responsibility away from oneself. Taking ownership is crucial for personal growth.
  •    Past Mistakes Define Future Potential:
    •  Excuse: "I messed up before, so I'll probably mess up again."
    • Truth: Past mistakes are opportunities for learning and growth. They don't necessarily determine future success or failure.
  •    Lack of Support:
    •  Excuse: "I don't have anyone supporting me."
    •  Truth: While a support system is beneficial, self-belief is crucial. Relying solely on external validation can hinder personal progress.

So, be aware of these common excuses - if you hear yourself saying things like this. You’re limiting yourself - no one else, not your partner or your circumstances. Your dreams and where you are in life start and end with you.

Your purpose is a powerful tool to break through these self-imposed boundaries.

Leaping into the Unknown

I get it - the unknown is scary. It’s a real fear. Our subconscious is working very hard to keep us safe. Our primitive brain is protecting us against moving away from the pack or going into the woods, because you may get eaten by a tiger and lose your life.

However, the risk  or the unknown steps that we are taking these days often wouldn’t kill us.

Whenever fear takes over for me - it often doesn’t even feel like fear  - for me it sounds like a rational voice telling why risk it. Probably not worth the time, money or effort when everything is going well now. Why even try?

So what I do is simply asking myself - what’s the worst that could happen?

And of that happens, what’s next?

So yes, It might sound crazy, but after pacifying my own mind that everything is going to be ok, I jump and build my wings on the way down. It's this fearless approach that has brought me this far, and I encourage you to do the same. this is what real entrepreneurs do.

Letting go of the "how" and focusing on the solution, the outcome, is the only way to accomplish something that might seem impossible. Take that leap into the unknown, and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.
